Cosener's House occupies a picturesque Thames side position in the grounds of the mediaeval Abbey of Abingdon in Oxfordshire, UK.
The house takes its name from the Cuisinier or Kitchener (the official responsible for providing food for the Abbey).
Cosener's House is now Rutherford Appleton Laboratory's conference facility. The main conference room is situated in a modern purpose-built facility adjacent to the main house. This can accommodate up to sixty people and is fitted with a full range of audio-visual aids, photo-copying facilities and computer links. Two smaller conference rooms are also available.
